Pull out the fridge, there is a drip tray where stuff collects and stinks the place out, have you tried that?

I was going to suggest electrical, Is the bulb too powerful in you light fitting and starting to melt it. It happened to my daughter after her husband put the wrong bulb in. Good luck I hope you find it soon.

Just a thought....over Christmas we had a foul smell in the kitchen. I emptied and scrubbed the fridge, did the usual floor scrubbing etc but we could still smell it. It was worktop height so I basically went along the length of the worktop sniffing. I found the smell.....it was the drip tray on our tassimo machine! Im guessing each time we used it a small amount of milk dripped into the drip tray and then turned really smelly. I wash it everyday now lol x

Mystery solved!!
Well, I presume it was the drip tray, having worked my way round the kitchen, the fridge was the last thing to get cleaned, and the smell has now gone - yet it didn't smell inside!
Thanks for your help, it was driving me nuts
(Thought I was going to have to take all the kickboards off = expensive, as I'd have to buy new ones

exactly the same happened to me a few weeks ago, stripped the kitchen trying to find the smell and it was the drip tray at the back of the fridge freezer!
