A truly sad day, made more poignant by all the talk of the movie on the news this morning.

Thoughts and prayers with his family, friends and supporters.

it is a sad day but for him a relief. He is old and was very poorly (I heard he's been on a ventilator for months ) The world is a better place for him having been in it and it's an amazing achievement that he reached 95 considering his health after being in prison for all those years.

    RIP Nelson

I had a cry last night, then when one of the dad's dropped off this morning he said how sad about it and I welled up again!

I am of the generation who went to London to protest. I wore my badge, t shirt and held my placard with pride. I thought he would go on forever and now he is gone. I felt like he was the cement which held together humanity.

The world has lost their greatest human being
