Default What a difference 24hrs makes.

Well I am now a grandma again and nearly ended up delivering him. Got a phone call at 10.30 last night to ask me to go to my daughter's house because her labour had started. Well she was hours last time so I got my pjs, toothbrush etc, 10mins later phone call asking were I was. I ran(literally) to my daughters. The babies head was showing and a lady on the phone(passed to me by SIL) telling me how to deliver the baby. After two pushes head almost delivered and luckily two fantastic ambulance men came through the door. What a relief, baby delivered on next push a beautiful baby boy was bornat 11.05pm. Mum and baby both well, Grandma still in shock, thank goodness I am off this week.

Congratulations and well done! Some come so quick don't they. Our neighbours daughter gave birth in the car outside our house one cold december morning. She was dropping the other children off before going to hospital.

How scary but fantastic for you - I was there at the birth when my grandson was born back in February but luckily I was only a spectator and stayed away from "messy" end! Enjoy your week off and give us more news on names, weight, progress etc

They are calling him Oliver and he weighed in at 7lb 2oz smaller than his brother but he was only a day late rather than two weeks. His big brother keeps holding his hand and stroking his face, he is totally fascinated by him.

    That's so sweet.
Congratulations to you all, well done Grandma.
Hope my daughter doesn't do the same to me with her second baby! x
