I just don't enjoy it as much as I thought I would and feel like my home is not my home any more. I also feel like I never get away from work, or able to switch off, which also factors into me not feeling like home is home as can't just relax and enjoy time with my family as I'm constantly doing things for work.

Thanks I certainly recognise some of that

I came to this late so it's like grand children for me. I have also had a very varied sometimes stressy career so the change of pace suits me fine. I guess we all come with different backgrounds and expectations.
It's great you are so clear about your reasons. Thank for sharing

So, I got the job messaged mum to let her know I will be closing my business (will give her written notice after half term holidays but wanted to give her chance to start looking ASAP) and I got a lovely reply back saying she's gutted as she loved all the activities I did with LO and she will miss me etc. nice to be appreciated!!

Have had the most fabulous past 2 days, feeling on top of the world! Off to try and get some sleep as got friends' two LOs staying tonight so be early rise tomorrow
