Ouch! I broke my wrist just before I was due to finish work when expecting my DS 17 years ago - agony! so I feel your pain and so difficult to do things when in plaster

When will you be able to work again? meanwhile rest it and get mended!

Ouch, poor you. I feel your pain as I broke my ankle 8 weeks ago. I had 3 days off and then went back to work, just hobbled round the house & garden, lots of free play.
    Hope you get better soon

thanks for all your good wishes,

I spoke to all my parents last night told the smallest ones I will definately not work this week just so they know
didn't like to say may be able too, at least they know what they are doing for a week, I will still have older ones that don't need picking up or buggy
    or nappy changes.

Hope I will know more tomorrow, meanwhile no housework just laptop and one handed typing.

I hope the fracture clinic give you good news - when my daughter broke wrist 20+ years ago, they originally put her in a full plaster up above her elbow, when I went back to fracture clinic they took that one off and just put in a "back slab" plaster which was much much smaller.

Also have a friend who was told he had broken his ankle when he went back to fracture clinic they said they had looked again at his x rays and it wasn't broken after all!

I managed to childmind and still change nappies with a broken bone in my hand and one in my big toe - neither were in plaster though - just very swollen and painful. You are wise to cancel the little ones until you know what you can do with wrist in plaster. Sending big hugs

Good news my wrist isn't broken, doctor has signed me off for 2 weeks when I told him what I do, I have a brace to wear funnily it hurts more now cast is off

Going to reassess on friday and if it has stopped being painful I may work next week
