I think it depends a lot on what colour, whether they are having packed lunch or dinners (dinners always messier), what your child is like and what your washing routine is like?

If you just have 2 sets you may need to wash them every day - is this practical for you? If you have a large family and wash whites and colours every day then it will probably be fine.

Personally I have a top for every day for each of mine (1 school is red, other white), plus 4 bottoms. At moment I only have 2 jumpers for each but will buy more as it gets colder and they need them more.

Like ruby bubbles, you need at least 3 jumpers/cardigans.

    One to wear tomorrow,
    One in the wash
One to be left behind at school!!!

One logo cardigan for school trips and photos! The rest are plain red ones!

I have 3 children in primary school and one in high school. I used to buy the logo jumper but not now last School year 9 jumpers went missing at £10 a jumper I just can't afford to keep replacing them. Last term my sons coat went missing teacher couldn't find it anywhere. the funny thing is I have seen someone in it I know it's my sons because my mum bought it for him from Australia :/

My ds just has 1 logo jumper and logo pe top. They don't have to have logos. My dd has to have at least logo jumpers, she also has 1 logo polo shirt but rest are plain. I have had a couple of logo things go missing and its too expensive to replace them but don't mind replacing cheap ones so much. Both have the school coat as I think they're good value warm rain coats.
