Just bak from a weekend in Scotland then ravenglass at the lakes
It was lovely and the weather was great ( apart from yesterday)
The dogs loved the beach
Sorry not really sure why the pictures are upside down lol
Also just got back from holiday in Scotland - it is just so beautiful, the mountains are so huge they make you feel so insignificant - we climbed Ben Nevis and luckily had a fantastic view from the top (apparently doesn't happen often) and walked half of the West Highland Walk - 49 miles in 3 days. Also had a day in Edinburgh and can thoroughly recommend it for a short break - just so many wonderful old buildings, interesting little streets and so quiet compared with London.
Photos look lovely and like Rick, if I turn my phone upside down the photo turns too!
I've thought about holidaying in Scotland but the weather puts me off. Having said that I'm sure it can be lovely too and the dramatic scenery is definitely a pull.
Come to Scotland - it is beautiful and it doesn't always rain!! We had a great afternoon yesterday with all the children - took the train uptown and had a wander along the high street. You can't beat it at festival time. We spoke to fairies, puppets and had photos taken with living statues. We saw Japanese acrobats, took part in a magic show and the children all gaped open mouthed at the worlds most tattooed and pierced woman. And all for a wee donation to the performers!
Scotland is a beautiful place and when you live here you tend to forget that, lots of interesting places to visit. Just a pity that we don't get wall to wall sunshine all the time to attract more tourists
I'm from South West and they had terrible weather down here last week while I was up in Scotland - torrential rain storms, thunder storms for whole day - in Scotland we only had one whole day of rain, couple of showers and other than that it was warm and sunny.
I have spent most of this morning emptying out my outdoor toy boxes, the lids are a little broken and the boxes were full of water.
