I was thinking about something between a3 and a4 size - like an outside a-frame board so it stands like a triangle on a shelf. If it folds up I can put it away at the weekend...
PTS do something called a target board. I can't put a link as using phone.
I have several. They have an A4 transparent pocket on both sides plus a pocket across the top for signs etc.
I use them for themes/projects etc, displaying childrens art work, & also have cut off the pocket on one & put velcro on it for a self registration board.

I made my own, got 3 boards and put two portrait style on either side and then one landscape, and got some hinges that I screwed in. I hold it in place with a big ribbon/rope thing. It doesn't like to be knocked too much, the boards were only cheap ones so I have had to fix the bottom after about 6 years of using it, but not bad for about £13
I was on a Communication Friendly Spaces course last night and one of the things to think about was how you welcome children to the house... with a suggestion to look at your entrance space and reflect on how you might improve it.
So I thought I could have a little display board - little so it doesn't take a lot of time to do - and put on it photos of the children or ideas for home activities or today's menu - those sorts of things in rotation to keep it fresh and interesting...
I could just do one A4 (or slightly larger) page at a time and bulldog clip it to an A frame type display board and tuck it away once the children have arrived... it would be great evidence of sharing for Ofsted too!
There are some really good ideas there guys thank you!
i can't remember what it stands for, but they do lots of stickers and stuff, and you can personalise them! ( if you request a catalogue i think they send you some free stickers! ) fast delivery too.
i use one to display a piece of artwork. ( photo of my entrance area. ) although i also now use one as a self registration board and don't so often display artwork.

I remember seeing your display pockets and did the same, and now know at least 2 others that have too

Perfect thank you! Ordered £7.50 and free postage on EBay!
I love your display board it's the type of thing I am aiming for - mine is boring and too cluttered I need to work on it.
I have the display pockets one for pictures if what we gave been doing recently, and one with a4 pockets with children's work in, newsletter, menu etc it works well and double sides so I can flip things around. Plus I can just take them down at end of day it week and pop in the utility cupboard

Could you please show us how you use this for a self registration board?

i stuck some velcro ( the hooky side ) across the front of the board.
i laminated some photos of all the children and put a piece of velcro ( the fluffy side ) on the back of each photo. i also printed out each childs name and put velcro on the back of that. the children like to match their names to their pictures. the youngest ones just use their pictures and sometimes the older ones just use their names. they are all kept in a pot to the side of the board.

All your information in the photo looks great, do you leave this up permanently or do you take it down when you're not working? Are all the different things put up separately or do you have some kind of display pocket thingy that they all go in? I have a few things just blue tacked up in my playroom but i find they keep sliding downwards.
