sad news...
My mum has just called me to tell me my Great Uncle died in his sleep last night.
He was 89 and a cantankerous old ....bleep
i hadnt seen him for about 6 years. we were not close.
I am a bit sad he has passed- its always sad when someone dies. I am sad for his grandson who i am very close to
But i am mostly sad because he was the last of the 12 children my great grandmother gave birth to. he was her baby and was spoiled by all including his big sister, my gran.
So thats it...the end of a generation.
That is the sad bit
wibble the sad x

When someone tells you nothing is impossible, tell them to go slam a revolving door

yes you are right.....the family line marches on.
I have recently done my family tree and i have archived the family photos. I have spent 100s of hours on it.
My father calls me the keeper of the family now...he says he and mum are too tired and old to hold it all.

Hugs from me too. It is sad when family members pass. I had so many great aunts and uncles grandparents, uncles aunts and parents. Now my siblings and I and my cousins are the front line! How time changes life.

The ever changing circle of life...maybe one day someone will be talking about you like that.
At least he had a good innings and he went peacefully.

End if an era , but he had a damn good innings we had 5 generations going strong back when I was a baby , they all live on in our memory big hugs and raised glasses x

It's often those we think we are not close to who sadden us more when they pass - grief comes in all shapes and sizes. Offering a hug to steady the Wibble..... Wobble x

I know what you mean, my Grandma was the last of thirteen children and it is the end of that generation.
Why hasn't Gary Barlow come to my rescue yet?
