Have a friend who likes peanut butter and salad cream sandwiches - I suppose it makes the peanut butter less "claggy" - but I have never fancied trying it.

I used to have sugar on my salad and have met other people who do the same, I used to have sugar and salad cream sandwiches as a child, marmite sandwiches are delicious dipped in tomato soup (actually may have that for lunch!).

I suppose sausages and marmalade isn't much different from pork with apple sauce or chutney (fruit preserve).

Marmite does seem to go with anything and everything savoury.

I like Marmite. But I don't like it on anything apart from bread. I've tried Marmite cheese but that is gross! The weirdest thing I enjoy eating is a 'Winkle sandwich' Get them all out of the shells, between two slices of buttered bread. Yummy!

I regularly eat cheese with salad cream and onion crispies. I used to know someone who stirred salad cream into rice and then put baked beans over it though, that one always turned my stomach

when i make tater pie (meat and potato pie) i eat it with pickled onions, pickled red cabbage and piccalilli. My husband thinks its gross and when i said it was our family tradition he thought i was kidding

    until

a few years ago my mums cousins son (get your head round that) had to stay with us for 6 months due to him working over here. On the first night i made "tater pie" and there on the table were all the special pickles.....his face! he ran round the table and gave me a big kiss....it had been years since he had had tater pie with all the trimmings- apparently it reminded him of our childhoods when all our great aunts and uncles met up at my grans house with all the cousins....and cousins children....

funny how food can bring back a really happy memory
