ok ive had my phone call to say i have an inspection in next few weeks so nervous and tired after work not sure what i need to do to pepare as 1st one any ideas / tips please xx

During your inspection the inspector may not take as much notice of your home as you think. They will have a look at your resources, you can point out your safety features but don't go overboard, they won't look to see if you've cleaned the oven! Did you get a set of questions in the Ofsted pack? You should answer those and be confident you could talk about them as it is difficult to keep track of where you are.

I don't think there is a definitive list of things you need to do. If you do something that the inspector questions, so long as you can explain why you've done it that way you should be fine.

My inspector spent 3 hours with me, half an hour of that was looking round the house, the rest asking me questions. Inspectors try and put people at ease so don't get too uptight about the inspection.

My inspector didn't go to town on my paperwork but did flick through it.
