Last count it was over 250....it's because the roads are so icy, there were major problems in the local big city yesterday afternoon, the place ground to a halt it took my brother over 3 hours to do a 40 min journey home.

Youre right, we live very close to you and Norwich was at a standstill. My friend left work at 4 yesterday and finally got home at 9.15pm. Theyd shut loads of city centre roads! x

Wish they would close the schools here, its awful out there. Even though its thick ice mainly on the pavements, the school still had someone on the gate monitoring which children were late. Why cant they appreciate there are some parents and child minders who just want to get their children to school safely, a few minutes late in these conditions surely shouldn't matter.

    Rant over sorry

When I was at school they never close for snow or ice. They say if you can go out and play in it you can come to school one year the boiler broke still the school did not close You just had to put extra coat on. How things have changed

Our schools are still open but will be giving regular updates during tomorrow! Not too much snow or ice here at the moment.

We are forecast up to 10 cms in our area. We shall see, but if the school is open then my kids will be going to school.
They have all weekend to play in it

We ended up with a stranded mindee Tuesday that finally went home at 8pm.

Tomorrows meant to bring awful conditions again. oh what fun!

323 schools closing early or totally today in Norfolk! it looks beautiful but is awful Its not even nice to play in which is backed up with the lack of children playing out in our area. Ill be the first to say Ive risk assessed it and broken the rule in the EYFS to say children must play outside every day, 3 x 1 year olds I dont think so. We did on Tuesday but the rest of the week has brought wicked ice. Not gonna risk it
