Mine will go up on the 15th December because we are having a big party on the 16th. Normally they wouldn't have gone up until the weekend before Christmas. November is too early!

Much as I love Christmas I get fed up if the decs are up too long!! A week or so before Christmas and they come down New Years Day (earlier if I can get away with it)

I love Christmas and everything that goes with it but HATE HATE HATE taking the decs down and storing them back in the loft. I would gladly pay someone to do that part for me

Ours goes up the Saturday before Christmas.

As Christmas Day is on a Tuesday this year, DH has conceeded that it can go up the 15th/16th weekend. We get a real one and it's always a lovely trip to the garden centre to choose it - normally culminating in an argument over which one we want and whether it is lopsided or not. Ooooo I love Christmas

I should think myself lucky really, when he was a lad DH's parents always put their tree up on Christmas Eve. I've too much to do on Christmas Eve without faffing about trying to get a tree!

Mine goes up the weekend nearest to the 11th, it's always been that as I was putting it up on the 11th when I had a call to say my grandad
had died (28 years ago) so its in memory of him that I do it.

We have always put our decs and tree up on the night of Dec 3rd as my youngest's birthday is the 4th, and we loved to see her come down on her birthday morning to find that Christmas had arrived overnight.

She's going to be 25 this year and her Fiance was planning to take her away for a romantic break for her birthday - she told him "On your bike - you'll have to move it back a few days 'cos I'm going to be here to do the decorations for my birthday!
    Who says romance is dead?

I put mine up the second weekend in December, I do have a bit of an issue though. It takes me about 5 hours to decorate my tree, it has to be just right and god help anyone who touches it when Ive done it. My kids (15, 23 AND 25 YRS)think its hilarious and deliberately move baubles around!!! ocd me thinks I have bought a tree especially for the playroom though which I will let the kids decorate. xx

Not before the second weekend in December for me and straight down after New Year, much as I love Christmas I don't like the tree hanging around once the New Year is here and the room always seems much bigger when the decs have gone!

    Keep smiling!

Friend of mine (now deceased) loved Christmas so much that she was all decked out, with the tree up, by 1st September!
