Default Plcaes to visit : South Wales

We are off to South Wales (between Cardiff and Swansea) at the end of August. Just thought I would see if any of you are from that area and can recommend good places for us to visit while we are there? My kids are 6 and 4. Thank you! (Oh and if you know of dicount entries for places then all the better!)

porthcawl has beacher, lighthouse and a fairground etc, , ogmore and southerdown are gorgeous if you like rocky craggy beaches and long walks. As above mumbles is lovely.

If you go nearer Cardiff the bay is lovely and there is also welsh folk history museum at St. Fagans.

The Dan yr Ogof Show caves are great but were expensive last time I went 8 years ago! but they have caves, dinosaurs, farm included in price and dry slope skiing extra.

National Museums of Wales have free entry. In that area is Cardiff museum, Big Pit, St Fagans, Roman Museum, waterfront museum.

The Gower has some lovely beaches

Techniquest in Cardiff is good too

Just had a look and there are some lovely ones but they are a bit out of our price range unfortunately.

oh what a shame hon. I think there would be some lovely b&b's or rooms in pubs for much cheaper but you probably wouldn't get the pool then.
