    Default Help.....swollen glands

    Feeling very sorry for myself.
Started with a sore throat on Thursday, lost my voice Friday and saturday, got croaky voice back on Sunday but started with a chesty Phlemy cough.
The gland on the right side of my neck, just under the back of my jaw started swelling a couple of days ago and is now VERY painful.

It hurts when I swollow, turn my head, bend down etc and it has made the last two molar teeth in my bottom jaw ache. I'm in a lot of pain and pain killers arn't touching it.

The pain is constant but more servere when I swollow, bend down, turn my head etc.
Don't know what to do with myself

Anyone had this before? Any suggestions?

Oh dear poor you, and why do these things always hit on a holiday!

You might have a throat infection, it might be a good idea to see a doc - I hope you feel better soon xx

Thanks everyone. My sore throat only lasted about 48hrs but the painful gland has been up for about 5 days now. It seems to be getting more painful not better as each day goes on.
If no better tomorrow i think i will take a trip to the out of hours Dr.

Could it be a tooth? I had a nasty tooth infection which went down instead of coming up. My tooth felt fine but all under 1 side of my jaw come up, I looked like a hamster. Had to have some strong anti-b's to get rid of it.
    Just a thought.

    xxxx
