me too - (the sugar mouse that is) you can still buy original ones in Harrogate!! It used to take me a week to eat one and you'd end up with just a bum and some string!!

shame we didn't have even a penny to spend on sweets most of the time - or I had to share them.

Still buy fruit salads and drumstick lollies. Dip dabs are a fave too - glad you can still get them. Disappointed that sherbet fountains are now in plastic tubes
Happy to be back with the Greenies

She isn't as old as me and I don't remember how much they cost.!!!

I do remember when petrol cost 4/6d a gallon (22.5p)

Those were the days. When I started driving in 1973 I used to put £2 of petrol in my mums car.

I first had my own car (1983), a Sunbeam Sport twin carb Imp in bright yellow, never lost it in a car park!

It cost £6 to fill the tank and I could get from London to Bath and back and do a week of driving on a tank!

Oh I remember when Starbusrts used to be opal fruits!

I was in bed last night and it popped in my head.... Vice Versa's the chocolate sweets with a milk chocolate shell and white chocolate inside, and a white chcolate shell with milk chocolate inside.... YUMMY!

Black jack and fruit salads... that takes me back to when I was really little and living in Germany, each morning me and my Mum were walking (can't remember where or why) but we always saw this lady delievering stuff and she always without fail gave me a handful of black jacks and fruit salads... I think I was about 4 at the time, but I still remember it!

I miss the real coca cola bottle sweets. they taste nothing like they use to.

we also had sweet called "tongue" in france. they were so acidic that you couldn't help but make a face at first and if you ate a few your tongue would split!!!

they changed them gradually and made them sweeter and less "strong"

In our local shop they would let us have 4 for 1/2p if the the nice lady was serving. Someone else mentioned finger of fudge being 10p, I can remember it at 2p!
