Love this thread, got me feeling all nostalgic ..
TV programmes ... used to watch The Sullivans in my lunch hour from school, loved Swap Shop, The Generation Game, Scooby Doo, Angels (always wanted to be a nurse).
Sweets - Nutty Bar - chewy fudgy bar covered in peanuts (used to eat the peanuts first and then the chewy bit); caramel Treats, used to do peanut ones but the caramel ones were the best; Tooty Fruities; also my nan used to buy us a chocolate bar (think it was dark chocolate) and inside was crunchy green mint - can't remember what it was called. xx
Choc pretzels love them vanishes of the face of the earth
we went to an american candy shop yesterday and they had alot of old stuffi didnt buy any as my dentist would shout!
do they not sell horlick tablets in health food shops?

Little cheesy fish-shaped crackers also from America, can't remember what they are called.[/QUOTE]
They sell them at Asda in the cracker aisle!!
I used to love these arctic roll things - they were like individual slices of ice cream arctic roll but each one completely covered in really thick chocolate with White chocolate drizzly bits on them - they were AMAZING - I miss them still!
Tv - it has to be Mr Benn - I remember it was hardly ever on and being very pleased with myself at 4yrs old if I managed to catch it on - don't remember much of my youngest years but still remember sitting glued to that!
My sister and I used to dodge the school bus conducter so we could spend the money on Triffic bars - nougat covered in chocolate. I also remember Texas bread - round bread (seemed to taste better than square!)
I lived in Texas in the early 80's and my boys used to eat Lucky charms, tootsie rolls and Twinkies... so much sugar, what a bad mummy I was!
