When is your baby due? I'm not pregnant!!!

Ok. I'm embarassed to say that a lady at toddler group last week asked me when my baby is due and......... I'm not even pregnant!!!!!!

We were both mortified!

The thing is although I am a normal weight I have a huge tummy. Since having my son nearly 8 years ago my tummy has not shrunk back to normal. I put on 4 stone when I was pregnant with him, he was huge 10lbs 4oz and I have been left with a wrinkled huge belly with a big fold down the middle.Ugh sounds awful I know!

So am I alone in this?

Any suggestions for getting rid of it as the slimmer I get the more wrinkly it gets!

My Friend (who works in a care home )was asked last week by one resident when her baby was due (as she patted my friends tummy.) Friend is 51, so instead of getting upset she said well at least I must look young enough to be having a baby lol

I carry all my weight on my tummy too. I got asked a few weeks ago when I was due....I've lost weight since then but from everywhere but my belly!!!

Sit ups tone your belly, so does hula hoops and cycling!

I lost loads of weight last year but have been left with a horrid belly, and as soon as I start to put any weight on now thats where it goes again

Since I had my dd 2.5yrs ago I have a roadmap of stretchmarks and I know what you mean about the wrinkles and lines down the middle! Even when I hold it in its still there.

I also put on 4st but she was only 9lb4oz. I have no idea how to get rid! I need a tummy tuck ! x

i also carry loads of weight on my tummy and have often been asked about the baby.
It can be so embarrassing

However like June's friend I now , at the age of 50 , take it as a complement that they think I'm young enough to have babies

So all you have to do is wait till you are old and fat and it'll be fine

I remember being at a friend's BBQ just a few days after our first DD1 was born and I was wearing a tight fitting all in one summer dress...just because I wanted to and could not get into it before when pregnant.

Anyhow, this guy which I did not know stands next to me and DD1 who was in a bouncer chair and he goes "When is your baby due?"
So I must have given him a withering look and said "There she is, just popped out to see you"

You should have seen the look on his face, talk about embarassing yourself

i knew a lady who had this with her tummy hon and it was because her womb never shrunk back properly - she had lots of fibroids. is it worth getting this checked - especially if you are not overweight.

I have a funny tummy too, DD was 11lb 12oz and funnily enough I do have fibroids and have now been put on the coil. weird maybe it is something to do with that, I had CS too so mine hangs, lovely!

i have a flat tummy, tiny waist and the most enormous bum!

I have problems gettimg jeans to fit, i have to wear a size 14 to take the bum into consideration but then i get gaping round the waist. Had to buy a belt last week cos my trousers were falling down all the time

I was smoking a cigarette in a public place recently when a very well groomed woman of a certain age huffed right in my face and told me that I shouldn't be smoking in my condition.

I looked her right in eye with a look to wither grass and said "What? Fat?"

I also carry a lot of weight on my front and can actually make my husband turn white if I breathe out hard lol
