I know it is hard Erin.....especially when you hear that other people lose larger amounts of weight doing the same plan as you and sometimes can get disheartening.

You need to remember that at least it is a loss and that the scales are going in the right direction. Also loosing that amount of weight in a short space of time is fantastic

We are all different and lose weight at different speeds/rates so don't let it get to you.

Keep your chin up sweetie you are doing so well

I'm drinking 3 liters of water a day(not inc. what I mix shakes with) and although I have had the odd night out here and there I can't believe this is all I am losing. Feeling very down in the dumps about the whole thing and wondering whether it's worth it. I know that I'm just one of those people who doesn't lose vast amounts of weight, no matter what diet I'm on but at the moment I feel like I'm really denying myself so much and only getting a small weightloss each week in return.

Sorry if this is coming across as a totally negative post but at the moment I just want to cry

Maybe it is the odd nights out here and there that are taking the toll? If you have a good weight loss and then go out and have treats that is it for the rest of the week as you are out of ketosis. If you are losing 2lbs a week that could be from only 2/3 days and could potentially double if you stuck to it completely.

Don't be hard on yourself, you are human and we all do this. I went out to a wedding and took a tetra brick with me and stuck to sparkling water but this was in the first week so I was really focused, It is only for a short time, couldn't you have people to you for a month instead of going out?

Reading this as someone who really no idea about CD I have this weird image of you chewing on a brick at someones wedding reception

Erin, I think you are doing fab but I agree it is so disheartening when you expect more to happen. I would just say keep going with it as you are definitely going in the right direction

What Debbie is saying is correct Erin in that if you were to eliminate food completely it might increase your weight loss figures.

However - as a CDC myself I am learning that all people are different and tackle their weight loss differently too.

When I did Cambridge originally last year I was really focused and stopped going out or socialising completely (used to go out a lot for meals etc with family/friends) as I really wanted to lose the weight quickly and seeing such fantastic results each week kept me going.

Like Debbie if I had to go out then I would also take a Cambridge product with me and stick to fizzy water.

    BUT

As I originally said as a CDC I have learnt that different people want different things out of life. Some force their life to adapt to the plan and others force the plan to adapt to their life.

So.....as Debbie says if you stay focused and cut out food completely your weight loss should increase but if you cannot cut out going out occasionally and eating then you have to accept that the weight loss will be slower.

It is entirely up to you sweetie - you have to do what suits you best.

    Keep your chin up honey

Only lost a pound last week but my CDC decided that since I was going on holiday that I should move forward my week with a evening meal to the week of my holiday which I did. I am due to get weighed in the morning, not looking forward to it as I think I have put on a few pounds but my dh is starting the diet tomorrow as well which will make it alot easier especially as both of us are quite competitive (but in a good way). I have set myself a goal to be another 2.5 stone lighter by the 1st week in Sept, have a girlie weekend away with all my cousins and some of them haven't seen me in years so want to impress!

oops had to come back and edit. My motivation has come from Louise, what a difference in her (pics) and I am now determined that I CAN do this and WILL do this.

Well the bad news is that I put on 3lbs

The good news is that I am so annoyed with myself that I am on a mission and NOTHING is going to stand in my way

Well......the competition between myself and the hubby is well and truely on. I said last week that I was annoyed with myself and that I was on a mission......

    I lost 9lbs

    Hubby lost 11lbs

I am so happy only 3lbs away from 3 stone!!!

And I have been asked if I would consider training to become a CDC myself!!!!

    New body, new beginning!

    How is everyone else doing??

I stayed the same this week which I'm quite happy about as we had a few nights out, it was that time of the month and I got weighed at night rather then my usual morning slot.

My goal is to be 10.5 stone for Sept!!

Have lost another 2lbs this week and have finally reached 12stone 4lbs

That's my BMI down to 28 which I'm delighted about, still want to lose another 2 stone though and my CDC has sent off for my application form for me to become a CDC myself.

How good is that....I finally lose the weight that I have been carrying around for 10 years and the possibility of a new career
