Default SHARING SOME INFO AND A RECIPE

came across this today. I get little e-mails every now and again from the eating plan I did - as I'm subsribed.

A recipe plus a link to a online presentation about foods to avoid and those to eat when trying to lose weight. Sorry about the formatting - I typed it up quickly as I watched !

    Here is the recipe:

    These are to die for...

So my wife and I decided to make some healthy snacks for the family last night.

We came across this recipe online, and decided to tweak it a bit so that it was healthy & delicious.

    Here it is...

    --------

    Frozen Dark Chocolate Bananas...

Get 2 bananas (ripe & slightly firm)

2 bars of dark chocolate (full candy bar size)

    3 TBSP almond butter

    --------

Now for the dark chocolate & almond butter, you can either heat it up in a double boiler on your stove, or you can just do it 30 seconds at a time in the microwave.

If you go the microwave route be sure to only do 30 seconds at a time or it will BURN and taste disgusting.

So once you have your chocolate & almond butter melted together, mix it up a bit so its smooth and consistent.

Then simply cut your bananas into small chunks (3/4 of an inch or so) and dip them into the chocolate/almond butter.

From here I just put them on a pan with some non stick paper on it. Then just set them in the freezer and let 'em get nice and cold overnight!

For a healthy snack, these are absolutely delicious.

Not to mention, I'd rather have my kids eating these than scarfing down a big tub of ice cream.

    That's never good haha.

The presentation and tips are attached.
