Default Helping new mindee settle in

Just thought I would share this with you as made me smile today. New mindee was over for her second day. She has breakfast with me then I take her to nursery. She has been really quiet and shy but today I had the Tin Pan Annie CD on when she arrived and wind the bobbin up came on. She smiled and we both sang it together and did actions and she settled much better. It's hard as I am with her such a short amount of time but a song that she knew really broke the ice.

    Awww that's lovely!

I often put together a little basket of favourite toys for new starters... plus something new for them to explore.

They are often crying goodbye and craning their necks to look in the basket at the same time
