I am new to this forum and in the progress of registering as a childminder. I have one day left on my ICP course so will be sending my registration forms off to Ofsted in the next couple of weeks. I am quite overwhelmed with all the policies and procedures I have to get ready, but hopefully it will all be ok once I get started. Here is my progress:

Ofsted have written to me to tell me they haven't received my health declaration form and will be unable to complete my registration without it, handed the form into my doctors on the 2nd sept, I had been told by the receptionist during a telephone conversation that it would cost me £25.00, but then the day after I handed it in I got a phone call to say it was actually going to cost £82.00 and would take up to 8 weeks for them to complete and send to ofsted! What a pain in the bum. Will update progress if and when......

Yippee just a quick update: My certificate arrived today (finally).. Oh it seems to have taken so long but I'm just so pleased that its finally here.. Good luck to everyone in the process of registration and don't be disheartened by the length of time it takes, its all worth it... xx
