Any tips as where to advertise....

Hi all,I have just found out that I am going to be made redundent in the next few weeks I am nearly registered just waiting for crbs to come back then ready to go Anyway I wasn't going to leave my job until I could replace my wages ,but that's not going to be the case now!!! so I really need to start advertising .I have got myself on childcare already but I don't know where else to advertise.My co-ordinator told me not to advertise until I am registered as I could get into trouble with ofsted so I need to advertise where I can state that I am still going through registration.
Any suggestions please x x x

*****, gumtree, your local CIS, post office windows, gp surgeries etc, leaflet drop of your surrounding area. So long as you mention you are not registered yet Ofsted won't have a problem.

google, - search childminder in your area and then you can actually add your self (what i did)

make own site (ask pauline or make own with freewebs)

shops, libary, toddler groups

Google, Freeindex, Touchlocal, ***** are all FREE. Google is probably the best because you'll appear right at the top of the page. You won't be able to advertise on http://childcare.direct.gov.uk/ or http://www.*************.gov.uk/ until you're registered and Ofsted have informed them.

I made sure I worded my advert correctly by stating "I'm in the process of registering with Ofsted and places should be available from month 2009".

Once registered I've placed over-sized postcards [from Vistaprint] in local post office, newsagent and soft play area. I visited the local print shop in town and ordered a 1000 A5 sized leaflets for £40, black print and pale green paper. Nothing fancy but reasonably priced.
