Okay, there seems to be millions of us on this site, but I have noticed that there are a lot of peeps at similar stages in the registration process ...

I thought it might be handy (and supportive) if those of us who submitted our applications to Ofsted this month could post progress / status / success etc and be encouraging / helpful to those at similar stages. A bit of healthy competition to get things moving ?????

Perhaps we could start of with a bit of a role call in our first post, and then update the first post as and when we have ticked off another stage in our application process.

I had a phone call from Osted on Monday, arranging my inspection for next Tuesday. I thought, no probs on Wed (as I work Mon & Tues) I'll get down and finish off some paperwork and do the massive clean, but DD came down ill, vomiting and high temperature, so all I have done for the past two days is sit on the couch cuddling her. So far today she has been okay, and at least I have been able to do a bit of tidying up.

DD being sick for two days has definitely given me some thought for my medicines policy, but trangely I have no motivation to do any of my outstanding paperwork.

I am amazed at how many of us there are, that started this process last year (doing courses / first aid etc) cos everyone that I attended my ICP course with, were registered by the time we did our exam, and there was I not even submitted yet. (The delay in our case was doing bits and pieces to the house, on a budget )

Just updating, as I had a call from Ofsted today (just a courtesy call ), to check whether my crb forms had been received (needed for inspection tomorrow) and she mentioned in passing that they now have my health declaration (which previously seemed to have gone AWOL), and she said my SS checks had come back cleared .

On a cautionary note though, she did say that on average applications can take up to 12 weeks ...

(I will try to be a bit more positive, and hope for next month perhaps ?????)

phoned Ofsted this morning to get an update and apparently just waiting for my application to be signed off and then they can send out my certificate! how long that will take is anyones guess - so close, I can almost smell it. Think I might need to go to the loo.........

My pre-reg happened on Monday, but my garden got some actions, so I am slave driving my DH to get them sorted. Poor man is working seriously hard so that I can pack up my other job.
