    Me too!

My kids are young teens now so all the toys are not needed outside of work time. I have 2 pine toy cupboards in the sitting room, duplo boxes looking at me when I watch TV in the evenings but lots more stuff in the loft room to bring down when needed. Art stuff in the shed with easel. Rolled up car mats and dolls buggies hidden behind chairs when not in use.

I bought a low folding table from NES Arnold. Goes behind the sofa in the evenings - best thing I ever bought Was in the sale for about £70 but worth every penny. will be getting another when I can afford it. I put it up with a selection of toys at beginning of working day and rotate toys from cupboards all the time.

How do others with older children and no playroom sort their toys?

We had the house extended with larger kitchen, playroom and downstairs toilet for my sanity!!! It has made a huge difference!

Verona range of furniture in argos is good and cheap!Ihave the large tv unit as low shelving-it is great for storing toys at child height very stable and has rounded edges for safety.I use the top of it for displays.

I was hoping to have a playroom I tried putting dds in the same room but it didnt work, so they are back to a room each. So I will be using to sitting room until I can afford a conservatory. I do have a large space in my hall so will have boxes in there when not minding.

I obviously missed this thread originally but I've just enjoyed looking at everyone's playrooms because I'm really nosey!

My conservatory is my playroom but at the moment it's just boxes stacked on each other - I'd love some storage but haven't found anything that will fit in properly yet!

Angel - where did you get your storage unit with the books on it - I'm having trouble finding a reasonable priced but nice bookcase and I could see if that would fit in. I'm having a guess at Ikea - am I right?

I have to be ingenious with my storage so he doesnt realise - although he did open the cupboard under the stairs yesterday for the broom (at my request, I might add) and went OH MY GOD!!! It's filled to the brim!!!!

When we move I will have a playroom

Will also be my kids TV room but nothing needs to be in my sitting room for once

Been looking at all yours again for ideas on storage. There is a built in floor to ceiling cupboard (will fit puzzles and games and art stuff high up, but not big toy boxes) and will use one of my pine toycupboards in there which holds 6 big boxes, need something open fronted that the kids can help themselves to stuff from or trofast boxes and cubboard I think..................ooh this is fun!

just tried link, it works ok!! ish, never used photobucket before.

The messy room we have tiled floor large table in centre, small boxes on wall for all craft bits and bobs pens, pencils, scissors, collage stuff all at easy access.
cupboard with paper drying rack above and colour sacks hanging from ceiling.
and then just low level sink and paints.

Playroom has everything storred in boxes with photos on all at low level easy access and purposed built storage for specific items.
and the usual home corner type thing.

Think that covers it a bit.

Just added some daylight pictures, looks lots better now
omg that is bigger than my whole house. I am sooo jealous reading this thread. i mind from my lounge and dh insists nothing is left out at the end of the day - so display boards etc all taken down each night and everything away.He doesnt want to live in a nursery!

    Hi Daisyqueen

Your set up looks great. Could I be nosey and ask where you got the unit with the coloured pencil holder on top of it and could you post a bigger pic as I can't seem to get them any bigger than stamp size... Thanks...

I would love to know too, we've got a little play house which the last owners left behind and while it's nice it could do with some tlc to make it look good, hadn't thought of painting inside.

I don't have a separate room . Most of my resources will be under the stairs in the front room and I have a large kitchen/diner. This will double up as a messy area as it's tiled. Is this ok?
