I have got my pre-reg inspection on Wednesday and my Lovely hubby has gone and dug up all the side pathway !!!!!

This is the entrance that I am going to be using as it goes to the back entrance to save muddy shoes on my carpet!!!

Doesn't he understand how important to me it is that we are ready !!!!!

I know what you will all say and that she will see it is a work in progress and so long as I tell her what jobs need doing will be fine ... BUT IT IS ALL MUDDY !!!!!!!!!!

LMAO I am so fanatical that everything is clean and tidy and now I have this to get him to do in 1 day !!!!

GRRRRR !!!

( I am obviouslly grateful at all the things he has done)

Just say that you have decided this will be your main entrance into the house, but having risk assessed it, you decided that some work was needed to make it safer, hence hubby doing is now before you start minding.

I was fanatical about getting my house ready for my Pre-Reg, but it'll be fine.

Awwww, poor you.

I'm sure the inspector will be fine. Tell her you hoped to have had it finished by wednesday but the bad weather set you back a bit.

They're not there to see your path!! I'm sure she will be more concerned about the inside of your house at this stage.

Poor you though I know how much you wanted everything organised

Just write it into your risk assessment to show you are aware of any dangers etc

My hubby and dad ripped up my decking the weekend before my pre-reg

it resulted in a bog like mud patch right outside my patio door

The Ofsted lady said she wouldnt include the garden but if it was ready before my reg cert was ready then phone her and someone might come to look at it. This gave us time to sort it all without trying to stick to a time scale. As its gone, the builders (my dad and bro!!) came and dug out and put the hardcore down this weekend just gone, but cant do the actual patio yet

and ive found out my CRBs are ready to be posted after only 2 weeks

so ill register the garden once the slabs are down - cant really grumble at free labour

I am sure men jsut test us to see how far they can push us lol ... when i moan about it to him he says ... better to get it done now rather than when the children are coming!! He then said ... WAIT FOR THIS!! .... The windows in the conservatory need to be replaced with safety glass ... I will start them on Wednesday !!!! I said

Don't worry - both of my gardens are a complete tip (but I *will* be getting the other to do something about it as the weather improves!)

When I had my pre-reg my front lawn was covered in various bits from the garage as my husband had bee having a clear out, it permanently has the shell of an old Mini parked on it and my back garden has crumbling steps and looks somewhere in the region of a building site.

Needless to say, I haven't registered either garden for use whilst I am minding (I will take the children to the park just down the road from our house instead) but the inspector didn't say anything about them when she came.
