CRB Checking online?

Hi
I know a few of you mentioned checking what stage your CRB's are, and wondered if this was online or you actually phone about it? also whether it was an england thing or being in wales is it possible for meto check too??

You need to get your reference number from Ofsted first.

You can call CRB for your referance and they will give you your online ref and your customer number for on the phone. Ofsted wouldn't give me mine without me writing in.

CSSIW gave me my numbers, it was easy to check online, also CRBs are usually coming back in 2 - 3 weeks in Wales. I had mine done in late September.

thanks for that, might check with cssiw to see if they had the med dec [was sent friday i think- well i paid then]
and check the numbers there too

I just got my ref number from cssiw, and I've checked online and it says stage 5. in progress.
How many stages does it go through?

If I remember 5 is the police stage ... this is the one that can take longest.

It depends on the things to do pile on the policeman's desk.

had my inspection a week ago and the CRB haven't recieved my form yet

Ofsted have confirmed it has been sent

Mine's been at stage 4 since 13th Nov

Stage 5 is the final stage.

It seems to be pot luck whether it comes through quickly or not but it's driving me MAD!

I had mine last friday and my husbands not recieved yet.... think i'm being impatient tho

I had mine last saturday and then recived my partners on tuesday. so it didnt take too long

Dont worry it was a over a week before they received mine from ofsted but it only took 6 days for hubby and 7 for mine the certificate came 7 days later.

Hi .. I am at the same stage. This is my 8th week of waiting!!!. If you ring CRB (number on their website) they may give you your reference number, they did me. I have to wait the "60" days before they can chase the police blah blah blah........ keep your fingers crossed it will come. good luck !!! Karen

Mine hasn't either...driving me mad as they say 90% are done within 4 weeks. Guess I'm one of the unlucky 10%!!

oh no i ment it hasn't arrived at the CRB office for them to do the checks

Ofsted insist it's been sent off, so why is it saying it's not been recieved???

Mines the same!

Ofsted said that crb has been recieved and sent last thursday to crb place and they had recieved it there. so cant understand why not on there system. But crb place said not arrived! So who's telling porkies! Ofsted said phone crb at end of the week and keep checking, they may not have put it on yet! I'm like get a wriggle on then!
