What cars do you all have?

Hi Ladies

Just had a thought

, I'm going to have to change my car eventually when I become registered as it's a Mini Cooper...perfect size for me and my dd but for any other children it'll be a squeeze. I have been looking round for larger cars and noticed all the childminders that i see around all drive people carriers. What cars do you all drive ?

I drive a toyota previa and I love it

Has good boot space (perfect for all those pushchairs

) all the back seats come out, which is fab for when we go camping, and toyotas are really reliable

Wouldnt have anything else for work now

I have a citroen zara picasso. Lovely car, huge boot however still only 5 seats, however they are large seats so you can comftably fit 3 large children carseats in the back as it has a proper seatbelt in the middle seat not just a lapbelt. It has a simple turn on or off airbag facilitiy and the child door locks are simple too.

Love it but may need to go to a 7 seater.

i now have a subaru legacy (esate car) but unsure how long i have it as is actually mates .. (i swapped my 106 for a suzuki sj offroader- fella's idea just to get rid of the pug as it was so small and would soon need massive service spend, mate fell in love with sj so swapped his subaru for the sj haha)

now my fella is talking of getting his puma bk on the road now we know hopefully) whats wrong with it and says i can have that .. but that gonna be soo small but we cant sell the puma as it finance.

oh i dunno lol

Were looking at the mo, i have a peugeot 206 (love it), but obviously to small, we also have a shogun 7 seater which is just sitting on the drive, so we will prob sell both and like i said we are still trying to decide

and i love it although it is far too old now and needs replacing with a newer renault espace hopefully

Aww thanks ladies, I kinda like the look of the VW Touran but not sure yet...I would really love to get a 4x4 but that's only 5 seats so i dont think its any good...is the tax expensive on a people carrier?

ford galaxy (old style on 02 plate) love it but im getting ready for a new car ive been looking as well but new galaxys are horrible in looks and space wise back 2 seats are really low to floor
kia sedona looks good and has the sliding door

I have a Chrysler grand Voyager and I love it!

Had it before I started minding though as we are a family of 6.

It has a huge boot, I can get double and single buggy in and still have room for a few bags of shopping.

Also has the sliding doors which are handy.

On the minus side it is now very expensive to run but I live with it as we need it as a family car too not just a work one.

I have a renult grand senic 7 seater thingy

Love it and need it!! I do pick ups and drop offs, as well as trips and outings!!

also as 2 children of my own, and am soft!! I have just moved and my friend who didn't drive could catch a lift with me when not working with her 2 kids too

I have a Toyota Previa 8 seater and love it. It is a shame that they stopped making them after 02 otherwise I would upgrade

On saying that they are not cheap to run and I would look at the cost of insurance Groups for whatever you are considering.

Saying that, it is full 90% of the time

I never used to need my car as I live in the centre of town and could walk everywhere. Since moving I will need to drive everywhere

. Even have to drive to school as their is no footpath and the road is busy

. I nearly have a Ford Galaxy (old shape) It's not new so I don't have to face the tax hikes of the 51 plates onwards. It's sitting on the drive, just needs to be taxed.

. But it does restrict the number of children I can care for as they have to be able to fit in a 7 seater along with my own.

I would love an 8 seater I hired a Previa for a holiday once and loved it. It would give me an extra seat

I have a 54 plate galaxy which I love. I don't use it much for work as even with 7 seats there is not usually enough room

We are a family of 5 so bought it when we knew ds was on the way. He loves the built in DVD player

It's time to upgrade now but can't decide what to go for. My only prerequisite is parking sensors on the front and back cos I am pants at parking!!!

57 plate galaxy so the new shape. Before that we had a Grand Voyager which I HATED it was horrid to drive and very heavy on fuel. Love my Galaxy though ! tis fabby

Dont like the old shape ones though. Person who liked 4 x4 The Audi Q7 is 7 seats and costs about £60K
