Default Possible issues with declaring business to mortgage provider (Santander)

Hello, currently in the process of registering as a childminder and am aware that this is something I need to do. My husband phoned Santander this morning (the mortgage is in his name only) to speak to
them about it and they’ve not really said yes or no, but instead asked that he writes a letter stating what will be happening, how many additional children there will be (only 1) and hours the additional child will be there etc. Then they’ll let us know their decision. Has anyone else had this? Will the fact that I’m not on the mortgage work against me? Any advice appreciated, thank you!

some mortgage companies do put up barriers against childminders ... hopefully yours will be fine when they look at the facts of your business
