Waiting for pre-registration visit

I sent off my application on the 12th October along with my completed DBS checks and just wondering how long this can all take? I was hoping to be child minding for the new year but haven't heard anything back. Does anyone know if the process can take longer than the 12 weeks? My 12 weeks should be up in the new year. I know my references were sent back end of October, my DBS checks are complete and they have my Health form, so now I'm just waiting

Have your social services checks come back yet?

I'm not sure, I didn't know they had to do social service checks as well. I will give them a ring and ask, but thank you!

I started my application on the 28th September and I'm still waiting for my pre registration visit!

Apparently they are waiting for my social services checks to come back. So it can take a while!

Get on the phone and chase and ask them what's outstanding...then chase daily otherwise it can take forever! Good luck :-)

I've my pre-reg visit on Monday. They called the week before Christmas to arrange, I think I sent my application in the end of October/start of November as my DBS seemed to take ages!
