Default trying to become a childminder....

Hello, I'm just starting out and looking for a little help. I'm scared I've forgotten something!

I have done my pre-reg course and the first aid.
Got my DBS and am on the update service.
Sent the application to OFSTED but my doctor is taking her time over the health declaration booklet.
I've risk assessed and made policies and procedures and checked them a million times :/
I've read my EYFS and made notes.
    I'm sure there's more but I can't think now.

I'm a little worried about the visit as I have no idea what to expect, I keep getting told not to worry but I'm dying to get started and don't want to mess it up!

    Thanks for reading x

You sound like you've got everything in order :-) . Do a risk assessment as your home stands and be aware of what safety equipment you may need. You don't need to have it all in place as you don't know what age children you ll have but as long as you know what you may need to have when inspector asks you ll be fine. Have you made a decision about your insurance yet as the inspector will want to know who you are planning to go with. Good luck and try to relax it sounds like you ll do great :-)

One more thing, make sure you have a copy of "preparing for your registration visit" (ofsted document) and complete it before the visit, the inspector asked me everything in this booklet, its also a good way to know roughly what's going to be talked about at he visit.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks so much.
Risk assessments are done.... I hope, I found it really hard to write as my boys a bigger now so things are more relaxed now!
I was wondering about the Pre-reg booklet, I downloaded a copy but I thought that I was supposed to have been sent one.

No, you don't get sent one, you do have to download and print off yourself.
