I sent both mine and my partners DBS applications off last week and two days ago my partner got an email with the reference number and we can track it (stage 4) but I haven't heard back from them, no reference number, etc.

Is this normal? Or should I ring them?

I would get in touch with them, because you should have been give a reference number aswell so you can track yours xx

I've emailed them and they have replied asking for more details to follow them both up so we will see.
Hoping they won't take as long as some.

Well just heard from DBS. They have lost my ICF so now I have to get it done again. Grr... So annoying.

How can they "lose it" when it all gets emailed to them??? Blimming idiots. At least you rang, I doubt they would have bothered to tell you and you could have been sat there weeks waiting for it. Hope they get it to you quickly.

I know, useless.
They emailed me last night with my reference number and tracking so they obviously found it after emailing me to say they lost it. Haha.
