Default Confused about DBS - Scotland

The government website says I can't do a disclosure on myself so must get a basic disclosure from disclosures Scotland, is this so or I am understanding it wrong?

Just strange because it says it only costs £25 and I was under the impression it was eighty odd! Just want to check it is indeed the right one, be rather silly of me to get the wrong thing!! Does my hubby need the same DBS? Just worried I'm going to do it all wrong. The childminding itself isn't half as scary as all this official stuff!

just to clarify, I don't actually live in Scotland, the UK website says to get it from there though. Thus my confusion.

Hi Hun, I've just sent my DBS off for my myself and my partner on Friday, and it cost £52.50 each.

There was no mention of Scotland on there

I live in Scotland but the care inspectorate arrange our disclosures and its £59 - strange to do it here if you don't live here I would use the link posted above for you! X

You need to do it through the link that Vikki has put up as this is the OFSTED application link. Both you and your husband will need enhanced DBS checks - basic ones will not be good enough

Thank you! I knew it was enhanced which is why I was so confused when the DBS website said you could only apply for basic ones yourself, via a Scottish website! It all looked bizarre but it was the official DBS website linked from the government one.

    Thanks so much :-)
