Pre reg visit tomorrow

Talk about short notice lol. Almost forgot I'd applied its been that long. Been months since I complete cypop5 so got lots of revising to do eek. I've been reading people's experiences of the visit on here and it looks like the visit will be around 3-4hrs. I don't think I have enough knowledge to fill 1 hour never mind 4 eek. She is supposed to be coming 10ish so if she stays for 4 hrs that will be 2. Am I meant to provide her lunch?

I had my pre reg visit today!

She came at 10am and was gone by 12--

We went through the ofsted booklet but not in order-she asked questions and i only referred to my notes when i had to (had most of my answers in my head!) she was really friendly and put me at ease. After all the questions and checking my ID and looking at my policies i walked her around my house going through my risk assessment at the same time. I had sent my 22month old to the office with daddy as i didnt want any distractions!

Its normal to be nervous but please dont work yourself up!

She said she is recommending me and should have my certificate soon!

P.s i cant see that she would be there for 4 hours and i would personally say you wouldn't provide lunch-she should clear off before then!!

A full graded inspection can be 3-4 hours. A pre-reg inspection is usually shorter, 2 hours is typical I think.

Relax and you'll be fine! I would offer a drink but not lunch I don't think they are allowed to accept.

Glad it went well mine was only 3.5hrs as I had my poorly 18m old grizzling away and had to keep stopping our chat to see to him!
