Default Looking to start a career as a child minder - looking for advice from professionals

    Hi,

I am 29 years old and I have had a passion to work with young children for many years now. I have worked as a recruitment consultant for the last 7 years, so I will be looking to make a big change in my career. I have been doing some research online and there seem to be so many different courses available. I understand I need to go through my local authority to do initial training etc however would it be beneficial for me to do an Early Years Foundation Stage course as well? Any advice on how to get started and life working as child minder would be hugely grateful.
Thanks in advance for reading and responding.

    Louise
