Default Where did you get your Food Hygiene & Safeguarding Course??

I've fon my local council if they do them, sad to say they don't nowadays (maybe coz lack of funding?) anyway, are we legally oblige to get the course or it's personal choice? I like to get on a course but I am just newly reg & struggling to find mindee & just spent £94 for NCMA membership+ insurance. It seems cost is keep piling up before I started minding any children. To top it up I have to pay £44 to NCMA (again) if I want the starter pack which includes their contract.
    *Big Sigh*!

sorry for the rant ladies & gents, I just need to let this all out!

    Thank you for reading.

It's not compulsory ut it is good practice. Look at the online courses on this forum, really good value for money and every bit as good as the actual course I did first time round

Look at Morton Michel to, ins is slightly more but you don't have to pay membership may be more feesible in first year for you, you could always become an ncma member later in year if you wanted to

You don't have to do a Food Hygiene course but you should do a Safeguarding one and your local Early Years are legally obliged to provide them though as in our area there is a charge for them. Ring you local Family Information Service and they should be able to tell you who to contact.
