Default Toy storage when just starting...

Do you think it is important to have it labelled from the start?
We have lots of toys (mainly my own children's) but I don't think we have enough of each specific type yet (e.g construction/role-play,small world) to justify each having their own labelled box.
I intend to purchase more toys over the next few months so by the time of my first inspection I can sort it all out and label it all...is that ok?

I think that would be ok. I have quite a few toys because I found it far too easy to buy stuff for my ds (and still do!) and I have them mainly in boxes but not yet labelled.

My pre-reg inspector mentioned that they should have labels - names and pictures - so the children can see at a glance what is in them.

I've only just started myself so I only have my experience and info from this forum to go on but I would say you would be ok.

I don't, haven't and never will label my boxes.
The children soon know what is in which box!
I've never, in 18 years, found it to be a problem

i label my boxes ... but not for my minded childrens benefit ... but for DH and other adults who may help tidy up ( if friends & their children come to play for example! )

i also labelled all the shelves in my cupboards for the same reason

I have labeled mine a couple of times.....only to find the labels got pulled off, ignored, or not relevant anymore due to having to re-organise when everything got too messy....

Its all very nice having them labled, but im not sure its really worth it as the kids know where everything is anyway and most of them cant read!
