Hi
I'm starting to panic a bit, after reading a couple of other threads I might be panicing for no reason!
I started childminding in May 2011 do I have to file a tax return by the end of jan?
I have registered as self employed and was told someone would be in touch to tell me the next steps but I'v had no contact so far.
I have paid my first national insurance payment and I have a user reference number.
HELP!!!!

No, you won't need to file a return until after April this year. You will have until 31st Jan 2013 to get it in. The tax year we are filing by the end of this month is 2010 to 2011, which ended 5th April 2011, before you started minding.

Yeah I can stop panicking to... I knew the answer but the DH kept questioning me so I thought maybe I was wrong! Glad to know i'm not xx
