Default hypothetical question on overnight care

We are newly registered for overnight care.

Im wondering how long a child would be allowed to stay with us for? is their a max?

I think it's 28 days without a break and after that you must inform ss as becomes foster care. I looked it up a while back when taking an overnighter on x

wow 28 days that some kinda payment isnt it. So I could for example have a child for the weekend without any problem. Cant see it cropping up often but its worth knowing incase.

Im allowed to look after 1 child between 2 yrs - 8 yrs can anyone tell me why the limit? I know we only have 1 bed and no proper cot (travel cot only) but why can we not look after children older then 8?

Is it because Ofsted only register us up to 8 years old and any older we don't need to be registered to look after them, the same as during the day.
