EYFS link and Next steps...

I have done an observation on 23 month old mindee mixing sand and water together. I have put the EYFS links as being KUW (Exploration and Investigation) and PD (Using Equipment and Materials). Would you say that was right? What would the next steps be?

Sounds about right to me - for next steps you could encourage using a stick to make marks in damp sand or use fingers to make marks in damp sand.

I would also include creative development (exploring media and materials) and my next step would be to do cornflour gloop but give the child the flour and water separately to mix themselves.
