    Default

Hi ladybird, i got mine from some ofsted paperwork somewhere, here ya go xx

    Policy on Exclusion through Illness

If a child has a infectious illness they must be excluded until better.
I will send home children who develop an infectious illness whist in my care
If I or my children at home have an infectious illness I will not accept children until everyone is better.

    Procedure

Exclusion, as disruptive as it is to childcare, means that the illness is unlikely to spread forcing me to stop working if myself or my children get ill.
I will go by doctors minimum isolation time before child can come back.

Exclusion Periods, for most well know illnesses.

Chicken Pox… 5 Days from onset of the rash or until spots dried.
Diarrhoea/Vomiting… 48 hours from the last case
Flu (influenza)… Until recovered, common cold is fine
Whooping Cough… 5 days from start of antibiotic treatment/ 21 days from onset
Rubella/Measles… 5 days from rash but children usually inoculated
Scarlett fever… 5 days from start of antibiotics

List is not exhaustive and will be adapted where and when the need arises.
