    Default retainers

i have a new parent coming today, they want every tues and alternate fridays for a schoolie.

im planning on charging a retainer for the friday - would i charge this at full fee or 50% fee?

also if they agree to pay this retainer does this space have to remain empty just in case they want to use it on the friday or can i fill it with ad-hoc mindees if eg one mum may want an extra day as a one off?

Most charge 50% of usual fees as a retainer but if you are charging a retainer then the space needs to be available for the child to use - if you wanted to use that space for another child occasionally then you would need to write that into the contract and not charge for those times.
