Help Needed

Hi everyone, I have just started my course and I am starting to buy bits and pieces e.g laminator, resources etc. Would I be able to keep the receipts and claim them back once I start earning? I'm really confused about the book keeping side of things. Thanks in advance!

Yes, anything you buy for the business, just keep the receipts!

Just wanted to add that you do not need receipts for purchases under £10 - however i do tend to keep & get receipts just in case.

Once your minding & say yo buy ice creams from an ice cream van - then they wouldn't give a receipt, but you can still claim as long as its under £10.

what i tend to do is write my own receipt for items under £10.00 as when i go to do my account if i have not got the receipt then i tend to have forgotten about it

and those items under £10.00 soon add up

mind you i only do my accounts every two or three months
