Pre reg visits??

I haven't been told yet when my pre reg visit will be but I would like to know what they expect you to do before they come. Obviously I know the house should be clean and tidy and should be made safe as possible. But I have seen others talk about having policies done before the pre reg visit and to be honest I wouldn't even know where to start!

The last thing I want is for them to get here with me having done nothing adn them thinking they have completely wasted their time!
