Double buggies that can be pushed with one hand??

Ok, I have one 10mo one 3yo and taking one one 6mo (with variation). I'm looking at getting the maclaren twin triumph but need to know if I will be able to push it with one hand whilst holding hands with the 3yo. Does anyone know or can reccommend an inexpensive double I can get that can be used one handed?

Sorry don't know about the McLarens but I can easily push my Out N About Nipper double with one hand and also my P&T's although not quite as easy as the Nipper. I think it's easier if you have a pushchair with one handlebar thing rather than 2 or 3 handles IYSWIM (not explained that very well )

Depends how much you want to spend but i recommend the Out and about nipper 360! I have just bought one best pushchair ever and I have been through lots over the years!

I couldn't push the maclaren one handed. I managed to push a Jane Powertwin while holding a toddlers hand but they are heavy to get up curbs.

I just got rid of my double maclaren and bought a 2nd hand out n about nipper 360 double. You can't push the maclaren with one hand. You can get 2nd hand on ebay for less than £200.

I absolutely love my new nipper and highly recommend it

I've just bought a second hand Jane Powertwin which I can push with one hand.

I've had a combination of children in it from 5m - 2.5yrs and it is very easy to push with one hand

I also sold my mclarens double and got a out n about nipper, it's the best thing you can do for your back. You would not believe the diffence I hated my mclarens I would only recommend it for short trips. And you defiantly can't push it with one hand, I always caught my foot on middle wheel while walking as well.

Personally with the 3 yr old I would use reins (if you don't trust them to not run off) and get them to hold the pushchair handle themselves leaving you with both hands to push the pram. Even pushing a single pushchair can be incredible hard work one handed (especially with the hills in my area)
None of my current mindees who walk the school run need reins but the smaller child struggles to hold the pushchair and walk without tripping up over the large rear wheel. I have attached a strap (about 20cm long) to the pushchair that he can hold.

i have a 3 yr old on reins holding the side of a P&T explorer with doubles kit. a 2 year old on thr bottom and a 5 month old on top!

one handed fine!

Nipper 360 definately
So easy to push with one hand but if you get a little life backpack it comes with a lead you loop through your hand and attach other end to the backpack. Easy

Another one for a nipper here! Though I have the older model without 360 swivel wheel (bought second hand for £40) and I still prefer it to my twin Maclaren, so much lighter and easy to push.

Nipper 360 OR mountain buggy urban double both great to push one handed. I could do my P&T one handed most of the time but not up curbs etc

Buggies as in the true definition the lightweight umbrella folds are not designed for one handed pushing and are almost impossible!

No - the Maclaren is really hard work - if the pavement slopes you have to put your whole back into it, let alone two hands. And I spend the whole time watching out for dropped kerbs as I couldn't lift it easily up a kerb. When I've had three I put a buggy board Mini on one side of it. I am just waiting to earn enough to invest in a Nipper 360! Still waiting for my first full timer to start.

I love my nipper, I cannot believe how long I struggled trying to push an umbrella double with 2 toddlers in, while holding the hand of a 3rd. Wish I'd invested in one much sooner. My back and wrists thank me for it!
You can pick up nippers on ebay for less than £200, even with postage if you can't find a local one.

i push my powertwin with 1 hand and got it off ebay for about £100. depends if you want a side by side or a tandem.
