Can you use a large piece of board covered in blackboard paint? Then if it gets mucky/damaged, you can just stick another coat of paint on it rather than replacing it?

I've got painted blackboards in my garden, can't wait to get it finished and registered!

TTS have a nice selection of shaped blackboards if you're looking for something a bit more 'arty' than a simple sheet of board. x

I've just had DH make me a big one with plywood and blackboard paint. The kids absolutely love it - it's stuck to my wall under my living room window and fills up a really un-used space. Cheap as chips to make too!

I have cut the actual blackboard bit from an old easel (50p at car boot) and hung from fence.

I have an old easel in the garden which the children use. Although they love to chalk all over the toys and Patio

They also love to tip all the chalks into the back of the coupe car I have and under the seats of the small sit ons. and then they go soggy because I havent relised they are in there.

I hate picking chalks up. I dont like the feel of them.
