sharing care with a private day nusery

as i say above, ive had an enquiry for two children, one full time and other woh is going to attend anohter private day nursery in the morning. not till sept.

does anyone else have this ??

im not sure - im thinking why would mum use another nursery - but then dont want to ask too many Qs if you know what i mean, it is up to them after all ?
it does involve drop off and pick ups.
i can do with a slightly tight time frame, however, in september the contract ends for the lo who will be creating the time issue. iykwim. ( hope im making sense).

i suppose its like a cm job share ????
but the full time space is good for me

Its all about what works well for you???
At the moment I currently 'share' a child with another childminder and a day nursery. This child is with another childminder mon, tue, is with me wed, thu and at private nursery.
This works out fabulously as mum is always able to find someone to cover when one of us is sick, on holiday or one time nursery was closed as heating was broke.

So what happened by chance as no childminder or nursery had a full time place has actually worked out well.

Its also nice to compare learning journeys as he has hit goals at nursery which I havent seen yet so can look out for and vice versa.

How old is the child that is going to be attending nursery? If said child is 3, then mam might be putting the child in for the free sessions, 15 hours a week, which obviously makes childcare cheaper for them. If the child is younger it may just be a case of mam wanting her child to experience both environments and socialise with more children. Speak to her about it, she won't mind if she has nothing to hide and it will be good for you to have an insight into her thinking. When the child does go to nursery, make sure you keep in contact with the nursery about the child (which will be easy if your picking up from there), as Ofsted like us to have partnerships with other childcare providers. I look after a lo who attends day nursery 2 days and me 2 days. I think this works nicely rather than doing all am somewhere and all pm somewhere else. Would this work for you? The only downside of this is it is harder to communicate.
