Children's info for insurance purposes (if they decide to sue you) - 21 years 6 months

Tax stuff - 'There are minimum periods for which you must keep records, eg six years for VAT or five years from the latest date for filing your return for Self Assessment. '

    http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/startingup/keeprecs.htm#computer

Other related stuff - it states in the eyfs statutory guidance 'Records relating to individual children should be retained for a reasonable period of time (for example three years) after the children have left the provision.'

    http://www.standards.dcsf.gov.uk/eyf...tion/index.htm

    Hope this helps

Nice to know that we could be drawing our pension and some 21 year old ex-mindee we barely remember could come along with a sharp suited lawyer and sue us for some incident they say they remember happening when they were 3, isn't it?
