School brought ours forward as otherwise it would be too close to our St Davids Day celebrations. We just did dressing up at school but I made a new felt board story of the Gruffalo which I introduced on the same day.
We will be doing all things Welsh that week especially with my new language skills
ooooh clever you hun! Glad the course is going well
I thought I would ask lo's to bring in fav books to share, then pop to library and see whats going on there
Anyone got any more exciting ideas??

I've asked the children to bring in their favourite stories which we'll read and then we'll write the titles on our bookworm from here

and make their own bookmarks from here

Keep smiling!
Mindees are 3 what would you do for them???? Apart from brng favourite books ??
Last year we just read a story together - mind gone blank as to the title but the one where the little bear goes off to make his own cave!
I had lots of resources prepared so we could role play the story - the dining table became the cave and mindees decided what they would need / want inside .
Later in the day we wrote our own 'poem' called the bear cave ... which I copied and mindees decorated to take home.
Not actually planned anything this year yet!!
just remembered - sleep tight little bear!

a trip to the library is in order! what about creating a library role play area?
School are doing dress up, so I will ask mine to bring favourite books and take their lead from that
we are all dressing up both the school and the pre school are doing this so thought we would link. we will be visiting the Library and the children have been invited to bring their own favourite books to share over the week.
i have recently made story sacks of The Gruffelo and The Hungry Caterpiller and will have these out for sharing all week.
