Default Really not sure what to do

Got a phone call yesterday asking if I had space for a 1 year old mon - wed starting end of April. I said this was ok and they are going to come a do a visit next week.

Today one of my mums came in and said she had a new job and would like to change hours. But cannot tell me the hours until the shift times have been discussed on the 14th Feb.

    I currently look after
21 month old Mon - Wed
4 year old Tues & Wed
3 year old Mon & Fri (Mum wants to change hours)

Of course now I may not have space for the the 1 year old but wont know for another week. They have been to visit other childminders in th area so may still choose to go else where.

    What should I do.

Sorry I hope this all make some sense

You could sign the newbie.....then if your existing parent needs the same hours, because she is an existing mindee you could ask for a variation to allow you to care for more. (that is if you are willing and able to do it)

I have had a variation granted on two occassions for similar circumstances.
